Corning Gorilla Glass Selected by NEC for Touch Phone

Corning announced on March 3 that its Gorilla glass will be the protective cover glass of choice for new DoCoMo PRIME series N-02B touch phone with a 3.2-inch screen display, manufactured by NEC, marking Corning's foray into the Japanese market, according to a press release by Corning on March 3. Produced with Corning's proprietary environmentally friendly process technologies, Corning's Gorilla glass made with aluminosilicate will be available in a wide range of thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm up to 2.0mm, allowing flexibility in device design alongside glass processing, according to the same source. Gorilla glass solution can be used in various mobile handheld devices, such as mobile phones and notebook PCs, especially those feature touchscreen displays.
